Slettvoll flagship store, Copenhagen

STUNNING STORE IN THE CENTRE OF COPEHAGEN

When Norwegian interior and furniture brand Slettvoll decided to open a new flagship store in Copenhagen, it turned to Garde architects for the design. Known for its exquisite attention to detail and respect for original features, Garde oversaw a complex renovation of what was a tired office building into an elegant and glamorous retail space to showcase Slettvoll’s furniture and accessories.

Placed at the heart of the store is a stunning open, curved staircase with treads clad in Junckers Black Oak plank flooring. The same flooring has also been installed throughout the 500m2 store. Many of the rooms have dark walls and ceilings, where the richly coloured dark-hued floor adds a drama and elegance; and where the walls are painted white, often to highlight the wealth of original features, the solid Black Oak flooring grounds the space with a luxurious feel. A solid hardwood floor from Junckers is a durable flooring option for a high-traffic retail space.

The store’s imposing entrance features Junckers Black Oak laid in a classic herringbone pattern, setting the tone for a beautiful space which as rich in detail and craftsmanship as it is welcoming.
