Sprung Floors for Indoor Hockey courts
When choosing the best floor for indoor hockey pitches, hockey centres, hockey halls, or multi purpose sports halls you need a hardwood sports floor that allows players to perform at their best, it has to be safe easy to maintain and long lasting.
Hockey players ask a lot from the floor. They must be able to trust it to have the right level of slip resistance so they have complete control as they move fast around the hockey court.
Safety is important too. An indoor sprung hockey floor must be shock absorbing to protect the players from impact injuries and falls. The right level of shock absorption enables players to perform at their best.
Hockey is a fast game therefore the indoor hockey floor must have a uniform colour so the hockey court lines can easily be seen. Junckers 22mm solid hardwood sports floors are ideal for hockey courts; they are available in a choice of grades, selected for uniformity of colour.
Indoor hockey sticks will not scratch or scuff the surface of a Junckers sports floor. The lacquered finish is extremely durable and easy to maintain. Roller Hockey, Rink Hockey or In-Line Hockey won’t harm the wood floor either. Modern non marking skate wheels used indoors will not damage or scuff the floor surface, and the lacquer used on Junckers wooden floors has the perfect level of friction for indoor hockey trainers or skates. Compared with point elastic polyurethane and cushioned vinyl floors a solid hardwood floor offers very low rolling resistance; a characteristic that is and is strongly preferred by skaters.

Easy Cleaning and Maintenance of your indoor Hockey Floor
Maintenance of a Junckers hockey court is simple. On a daily basis, it is more than enough to use a scrubber-dryer machine with a low dosage of water. To keep the floor in optimal condition, we offer maintenance products such as resin remover, degreaser and mild soap products.
Additionally, we produce our own sports lacquer. The lacquer is approved in accordance with the European sports standard EN 14904 and has a high ability to bond with the existing surface. This means that only a light screening of the floor is needed before refreshing with one coat of our sports lacquer. If years of hard wear require a more comprehensive refinishing, it is possible to sand the floor down for complete restoration. If a sports floor is regularly maintained, sanding down to bare wood is rarely necessary.
Solid Hardwood Hockey Flooring - Certified wood and caring for the indoor climate
Junckers only use wood from forests managed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way. Planting new trees as old ones are cut down is one of the characteristics of sustainable forestry. To protect the climate, we strive to use wood harvested as close as possible to our factory. This is why our raw wood is mainly sourced from forest areas in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland.
Furthermore, we have a wide range of wood flooring and woodcare products that carry the Danish Indoor Climate Label. The Indoor Climate Label is your guarantee that the products do not have odours or chemical substances that can adversely affect the air quality in the room.
Junckers solid hardwood floor systems are ready to use as soon as they are installed as they are factory-lacquered. This makes them fast to install and cost-effective, and the installer and builder can progress quickly with the project. For the client there will be no delays and the hockey court will be ready for use when planned. A solid hardwood floor offers unbeatable life cycle costs and the initial cost will be less that a similar synthetic floor finish, with all the low carbon and environmental benefits that solid hardwood brings.
