OAK HERRINGBONE FLOORING
- IN SOLID HARDWOOD

A Junckers oak herringbone floor combines precise craftsmanship with the inherent strength of solid hardwood.

Manufactured from solid oak, each floor is designed to deliver long-term durability, dimensional stability, and a consistent finish across both residential and commercial interiors. The distinctive herringbone pattern introduces structure and movement to a space, while the natural grain and colour variation of oak provide a balanced and refined appearance.

Suitable for installation over underfloor heating systems and compatible with the glue-down method, Junckers herringbone flooring offers a robust solution for projects where performance, acoustics, and longevity are essential.

A VARIETY OF PATTERNS – FOR CLASSIC OR CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSION

A design classic in its own right, the herringbone pattern can be traced back to Roman times. Traditional parquet floors are made up of rectangular wood blocks, called staves, arranged in a geometric zig zag pattern which loosely resembles fish bones. Our herringbone floors are made in solid oak – a durable, natural flooring choice that will last for generations.

Our range of wooden herringbone flooring includes a classic Herringbone single stave floor which can also be installed in a variety of patterns, Herringbone Plank flooring - a more contemporary-looking floor with longer and wider staves, and Twin Herringbone – a prefinished oak herringbone floor where each board consists of two rows of staves, one full-length and one with half-length staves.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HERRINGBONE FLOORING

Yes, all Junckers solid wood floors, including herringbone parquet and plank floors, are suitable for use with underfloor heating

A herringbone floor from Junckers is installed with the glue down method. A glued wood floor enhances the feel and sound of solid wood. The method is particularly suitable for large, open areas where the aim is to minimise noise.

Junckers herringbone floors are just like our other hardwood floors - they have a long lifespan and require very little maintenance. With regular use, a lacquered or oiled herringbone floor rarely needs to be refinished.
